The Sweet Moments?

Ok, so I haven't blogged on here in FOREVER and when I finally found where my blog was in cyberspace I saw my page title and smiled...

Today is one of those days where you have to try hard to find the sweet moments. When you've got a little one who's sick with the "hand foot and mouth" virus (not to be confused with the "hoof and throat disease) its definitely a day that tests your patience! Going to your local store becomes a "super market sweep" as you see how fast you can get out of there before a crying fit commences lol!
However, looking at that sweet face, once in the car when all is well, just melts your heart as you shake your head and can't help but smile thinking of what a wonderful blessing it is, tantrums and all, to be a Mommy of such a precious creation of God.
The Sweet Moments? Yes, all of them :)

The End?

2.2.09

This morning I changed my wall calendar to February and the scripture that stared me in the face was this one, “Lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28.

I found this very interesting because my sisters and I were just talking about how we aren’t “ready” for Jesus to come back just yet. Not because we’re not ready spiritually but just because there are things here on this earth that we have yet to do (have children, my sisters want to grow up get married, etc). While I know this is a lack of spiritual maturity on my part, I have yet to get passed it.

Whether it has something to do with being young, I’m not sure. I do know of several people who are completely ready for this earth to be put to an end, however they are quite a bit older than me. I have often thought that if my mind was set only on the things “above” I would be ready for the Lord to come back!

Now, having said all of that, back to the scripture at hand...
Putting into perspective that when the Lord Jesus does return THIS is our redemption – our salvation is now made complete! It’s not just an end to this life but a completion of our redemption as the children of God! Glory to God! It’s not just a finality to this world, it’s a finality in our salvation. What an awesome way to look at the “end of the world”! I vow to stop saying “when the world ends” and begin saying “when our redemption has come”!

Hallelujah! :)
